Our jobs require us to complete tasks. Salon workers are part of a service industry that gives CARE, service and even pampering to the clients they meet.
The STAFF, from a stylist to a receptionist … to a colorist, esthetician, massage therapist or managers, stand on their feet, hold positions for long periods of time, sometimes with objects in their hands, lifting products and creating an optimal experience for the customer.
We want to help the body learn how to absorb these stressors and free the body of any restrictions the days may cause. So it won’t do harm.
This foundational program provides you with tools and resources to help you focus on your physical health & well-being so you can continue to provide your customers with exceptional service.

The physically demanding daily work of salon staff (with employees on their feet, standing on a hard surface and moving in repetitive patterns nearly from open to close) can cause pain and mobility issues, particularly to their musculoskeletal system and soft tissues that are directly connected to our bones. SelfCareU is dedicated to providing education and resources in support of salon staff knowing how to work with their physical body to prevent and help overcome health issues common to others in their field.

Basics in BODY Knowledge.
We are incredible beings with Capacities beyond what is normally taught.
In medical school, they cut through a whole system of soft tissue called fascia to see what’s beneath it. That system; fascial, perifascial, and all the constituent parts are actually an operating system itself. This structure can be guided to allow amazing movement potential and it can also be the opposite, stiff and stagnant. You can imagine what we want for you.
Learning a little or ALOT about your structure can only allow more motivation to work on yourself.
